The Tshwane SPCA is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to animal welfare.

As an animal welfare organisation we acknowledge all animals as sentient beings and strive to prevent cruelty and exploitation of all animals. This is achieved by proactively promoting animal welfare and enforcing animal protection legislation, and prosecuting offenders.

Volunteer

At the Tshwane SPCA, willing hands are always needed. In fact, so many of our animals need the warmth and touch of a caring person as much as they need food, shelter and medical care.

By volunteering only a few hours of your time each month, you could assist animals in a practical way and help fight the battle for those who have no voice. The Tshwane SPCA has a variety of volunteer activities, so you can choose something you enjoy.

Some of the areas in which we need volunteers are:

1. Walking dogs or pampering cats.
2. Helping out at our many fundraising events.
3. Joining in with community and school outreach programs.
4. Assisting in the animal clinic.
5. Compiling, editing and printing brochures, newsletters and publications.
6. Assisting kennel staff.
7. Updating our database.
8. Assisting with administrative tasks.
9. Counselling staff.
10. Animal behaviour.
